The National Trust for Jersey is an independent and charitable organisation, dedicated to preserving and safeguarding sites of historic, aesthetic and natural interest for the benefit of the island.

The vision of the Trust is to be an organisation of considerable influence within the island. This will be achieved through the Trust acting as a professional and well-researched body seeking to preserve and protect the built heritage and natural environment for the benefit of the island of Jersey.

The National Trust for Jersey currently safeguards a variety of historic buildings including cottages, farms, water mills and military buildings. While the Trust’s historic building work is of considerable significance, the majority of Trust sites are parcels of land managed for wildlife. The Trust currently manages approximately 2% of Jersey’s land.

The Trust is regularly involved in contributing to important debates over the future of Jersey’s environment and also plays a leading role in educating the local community on the importance of preserving our natural and built heritage.
